Oh, God.
That one running up with her sign, beaming like a four-year-old, "Look what I drew, Mommy!" And then the others all being super complimentary like she's retarded and they have to encourage her or something. And meanwhile, all those (New Yorkers? I'm guessing) just walking past staring at them like they're just slightly more annoying pigeons or homeless people begging for change.
Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I'd have laughed if that weren't so completely, utterly, unbelievably pathetic. Seriously. This is like some 1950s French New Wave film-level pathos. It needs to be in black and white, cutting back and forth to a narrator guy puffing a cigarette and talking about how all life is shit.

I followed the link. They're not being ignored by cold, brusque New Yorkers. They're being ignored by laidback, free-loving San Franciscans.

The funniest part was the blog where I got the link. They were all like, we just got back from the "rally" - and IT WAS GREAT !!! Donna Brazile walked by !!!

A few comments later someone asks how many people were there, and she says - Only 9, but we were EFFECTIVE!
