What an asshole

I found the link at JMart's blog (oh shaddup, Ben Smith calls him that) at Politico, here is some footage of McBush talking to the DesMoines Register editorial board.

Jonathan posts this clip:

Which is bad enough.

But I found this one, where he's asked about having been on the taxpayer dole for his healthcare all his life, to be even more asshole-y.

Is that a word? Well, it is now.

Or how about here, where he insists that Barack wanted to teach the little ones about Teh Dirty Sex.

"Straight Talk" - my ass.

I think I've figured out who McBush reminds me of lately. His eyes go all squinty and he twitches, whenever he's asked something he feels it's beneath him to be asked to answer.

"Insect Politics" kindof fits, doesn't it?

I also noticed he used the 'Tongue Jut' a lot during the Des Moines Register interview. It's getting very weird! Here's a link to the fivethirtyeight article about the tongue jut as a 'tell'.

I believe the word is "assholish."

Carry on.

He's gonna go ka-boom sooner or later. You can see it building up like magma in a volcano. (Get yer minds outta the gutter. I mean the anger!)

Betty,

Totally agree. I thought he was gonna pop when the woman asked him about derailing the 'straight talk express' with the teaching kindergarten kids sex ed & the lipstick adds, his face got all red, veins started popping.

Yikes.

Wonk,
Did you watch all of the clips?

He's such a prick.

He just comes across as a cantankerous old grumpy asshole.

"I did got a period of my life where the healthcare wasn't very good" *smirk*

"So I dumped my first wife and married a cash cow to cover me"

"The Fly" reference is good, but when I noticed the tongue jut, I immediately thought of another movie character. Couldn't find any good clips, probably because the movie's still in theaters, but I was trying to find the complete scene of him telling a roomful of criminals, "And I thought MY jokes were bad," and, "If you're good at something, you never do it for free," and making a pencil disappear.

Found a clip of him telling Sen. Patrick Leahy, "You remind me of my father. I hated my father," though.

Seriously, watch the movie again and then try to keep that image out of your head the next time you see McCain talk and do the tongue jut.

I watched a little bit of Keith Olbermann tonight where he shows a clip of Sen. McCain's brutal interview with the Des Moines Register. And I have to admit, I felt a brief twinge of pity. Here is a man who is clearly angry. I won't pretend to know why, except to say that being what he's been through (no need to repeat it) he probably feels as if he is owed the presidency. That anger, is probably deeper and stonger than most people could ever know. Eight years ago, John McCain probably was who he claimed to be, but not anymore. And what is even more sad, but has been stated in many different ways is; this is his last shot. I mean this is it!Unlike Hillary, there is no 2016, hell there isn't a 2012. And that has to hurt.

But I am not making excuses or even remotely trying to drum up any sympathy for McCain.

Anger only hurts us, it never helps us, and sometimes, the most unselfish, "freeing" thing we can do, is to just let go. Except the fact that some things are not meant to be. (Lord knows most of us have had to do that at some point.) I know it doesn't compare to letting go of the presidency, but then again, what else could "Country First" possibly mean?

But like I said, my sympathy only goes so far. And as far as Sarah Palin goes, I have absolutely NO sympathy for her. She is a con artist who is trying to pull of the biggest scam in American history. And I sincerely hope she crashes and burns.

Chris - LOL, I never got why McCain doesn't get flak for collecting his Social Security & VA benefits when he's got the money to pay for his retirement and health care himself.

I guess it's okay to suck off the government's tit as long as you're mavericky about it. :)
